Why Soperton, Georgia?
Simply put: location, location, location. The State of Georgia has an abundance of sustainable and renewable forest-derived feedstock, and it has a long-standing and broad-reaching program of conservation and stewardship of its forest lands. Known as the “Million Pines City,” the town of Soperton’s proximity to feedstock supplies for the Soperton Plant, including wood and wood waste, and biofuels markets means that transportation costs will be kept to a minimum.
