On December 2, 2009 Biofuels Digest announced that Range Fuels, Inc. had been selected to their 50 Hottest Companies in Bioenergy 2009-2010 list. The list recognizes innovation and achievement in bioenergy development. A 75-member panel of international selectors and subscribers to Biofuels Digest, the world’s most widely read biofuels daily, ranked Range Fuels #14. Overall, more than 1,000 companies were eligible in the rankings.

The award is presented to companies that have demonstrated superior technological advancement in the green energy field and whose technologies are aligned with sustainable and environmentally-conscious objectives.

On September 15, 2008 AlwaysOn, KPMG and Morgan Stanley announced that Range Fuels was selected as a recipient of the GoingGreen 100 Top Private Companies Awards. Range Fuels Awarded $6.25 Million OneGeorgia EDGE Grant to Support Development of First Commercial Cellulosic Ethanol Plant
On November 7, 2007 Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue announced that the Treutlen County Development Authority / Range Fuels received a $6.25 million OneGeorgia Authority EDGE grant to purchase equipment and make street improvements to support development of Range Fuels' commercial cellulosic ethanol plant being built near Soperton, Georgia. The grants are meant to spur economic development in rural Georgia.

Range Fuels Awarded $76 Million Grant from Department of Energy
Range Fuels announced February 28, 2007 that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) awarded the company up to $76 million to build the first commercial cellulosic ethanol plant in the U.S. at a site near Soperton, Georgia. The DOE awarded Range Fuels the grant after a rigorous competitive process that included a detailed technology review, an assessment of the availability of nearby renewable and sustainable non-food biomass feedstock supplies, and an evaluation of the company's ability to successfully commercialize and replicate the project at other locations.
