Construction: Georgia
On November 6, 2007 Range Fuels broke ground on the site of the nation's first commercial cellulosic biofuels plant in Treutlen County near the town of Soperton, Georgia. Site clearing began in late 2007 and encompassed around 100 acres. The plant itself will occupy about 60 acres of the total site, and construction of the first phase is scheduled for completion by the end of the first quarter of 2010 with production scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2010.
